Kindle Energy starts construction on $1.2bn Wolf Summit Energy project [Yahoo! Finance]

The company is developing the 600MW greenfield combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in partnership with Blackstone Energy Transition Partners. The plant, which received its final investment decision in November 2025, is fully contracted to supply power to the Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC), providing electricity to approximately 1.5 million residents in Virginia, Delaware and Maryland. Officials expect the construction phase to generate 500 jobs locally, with further contributions to the area's economic activity anticipated by the state's leadership. Kindle Energy and Blackstone state that the facility will utilise advanced natural gas technology from GE Vernova.
