MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With urgent need for both food donations and volunteers stemming from COVID-19, General Mills – in partnership with Feeding America – is announcing two new initiatives to help address these challenges:General Mills facilities will manufacture and immediately donate $5 million worth of product to Feeding America food banks.General Mills will create an option for employees to work at food-related charities in the Twin Cities while retaining their regular pay.“During these unprecedented times we know that our food and our employees can play an important role in helping feed people facing hunger in our communities,” said Jeff Harmening, Chairman and CEO of General Mills. “Our teams are proud to produce food the world loves and needs right now when there is such a critical demand.”Manufacturing $5 M
