The war on has hit the Target cereal aisle. . which has a location in Hyannis, announced in a press release that they will no longer be carrying cereals with artificial or synthetic dyes in them come May of this year, proclaiming that the grocery store chain will be one of the first major retailers to do so. "Target's guest insights and sales-trend data show a long-term shift toward foods made without artificial additives — particularly for the products families buy for their children," the press release said. "By the end of May, 100% of the cereal Target sells in stores and online will be made without certified synthetic colors." Why is Target removing cereals with artificial dyes in them? Target said that this move away from artificial dyes is consistent with their goals of continued growth. "Target's updated cereal assortment is part of its broader ambition to build a grocery experience rooted in differentiation and intentional curation for today's families," Target said
