Two things can be true at the same time. Ripple just achieved a $50 billion valuation as part of a massive share buyback programme, which pushed its valuation up by 25% since it raised $500 million in November, according to Bloomberg At the same time, the price of XRP, the cryptocurrency developed by the firm, has lost over 60% of its value since reaching an all-time high in July, but that hasn't dissuaded the token's supporters from investing billions into exchange-traded funds tied to the asset.
