that allowed the federal government to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from cars, trucks, power plants and other sources that have long been believed to contribute to global climate change. The reversal of the 2009 endangerment finding - which was reached by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under then-President Barack Obama - effectively ends the legal underpinning supporting the regulation of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and other greenhouse gases scientists and environmentalists say contribute to climate change.
