Related news Iconic auto stock Ford ( F ) has been downgraded amid fears that the company's restructuring plan is faltering, while its attempts to push into self-driving vehicles is seen as lagging key competitors such as General Motors ( GM ). X Morgan Stanley managing director Adam Jonas also said Ford's dividend could be slashed due to earnings and cash flow pressures as he demoted Ford stock to equal-weight from overweight. He also cut his price target on Ford stock to 10 from 14. "Like many OEMs, Ford faces a number of challenges: technology, business model, product, market positioning, and strategy," the analyst said in a research note Friday. "Earnings and cash flow are under pressure and the dividend is at risk." The Morgan Stanley analyst is also unimpressed with Ford's restructuring efforts, which are crucial to the firm's success going forward.
