Volvo Trucks North America will integrate with Greenlane's charging services in North America to expand drivers and fleet managers' access to charging locations, Greenlane announced April 2 Through Volvo Open Charge , a service that provides access to a network of public charging sites for electric trucks, drivers will now have access to Greenlane charging sites. Greenlane will open a flagship site in Colton, California, this month that will feature 40 publicly accessible chargers for heavy-, medium-, and light-duty zero-emissions vehicles, according to the press release. Volvo and Greenlane, a joint venture of rival Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy and Blackrock's Global Infrastructure Partners, aim to make finding EV truck charging easier for drivers. Last year, Greenlane unveiled plans for a 280-mile electric truck charging corridor along Interstate 15 in California to address the need for publicly available, nationwide electric charging for commercial vehicles.
