Generac plans to open the new facility in the fourth quarter at N64 W23110 Main St. The company, which makes generators, bought the 200,000-square-foot building in December for $20 million. Waukesha-based Generac's products include large-megawatt generators sold to data center operators. "Generac has experienced significant customer interest from the data center market, including the doubling of its order backlog as disclosed on the company's third quarter earnings call in October," according to a Jan. 5 statement. The Sussex facility also will allow Generac to better serve other large generator customers, including health care, hospitality, wastewater, water utility, and heavy industrial facilities, the statement said.
