I'm downgrading Google to Hold, as I expect consolidation or a pullback as the AI trade remains uncertain and near-term catalysts are lacking. CapEx guidance for 2026 is $175–$185B, more than doubling last year, and management is warning of higher depreciation and margin compression throughout the year. Cloud backlog surged 55% sequentially to $240B, Gemini adoption is rapid, and long-term AI monetization and partnerships support my bullish long-term thesis.
