Nvidia still owning the default, general-purpose AI compute platform across clouds. Nvidia's moat rests on its vertically integrated AI racks—Grace CPUs, Hopper/Blackwell GPUs, Mellanox networking, and CUDA software—rather than raw chip speed, locking in developers and enterprises. TPUs may gain share within Google Cloud, but NVDA's platform remains the industry standard for general-purpose AI workloads. At roughly 38× forward earnings, NVDA still looks far from a 2000-style Cisco bubble; robust margins and secular AI demand justify a premium multiple. Using reasonable inputs for my valuation model, I see nearly 50% upside, supporting a Buy for NVDA stock despite competitive and multiple-compression risks.
