Forbes estimated Beyoncé's earnings at $148 million, making her the third-highest-paid musician of 2025 and officially marking her billionaire status. The " True Net Worth" ranking, released April 20, recalculates the wealth of the richest billionaires to estimate how wealthy they would be if they had given nothing to charity. As it turns out, the top of the billionaires list would look a lot different without charitable giving. Here's the new Forbes Top 5 when you count charity Elon Musk , who has donated only a tiny share of his wealth, would still rank as the world's wealthiest person, with an estimated net worth of $858 billion. But Bill Gates, the Microsoft founder, catapults to second on the True Net Worth list once charitable giving is factored in. Forbes estimates the wealth Gates has donated in his lifetime would be worth $356 billion if he had kept it and invested it, raising his theoretical net worth to $464 billion.
