Gossamer Bio confirmed to KRON4.com that it would be carrying out a “reduction in force,” resulting in 77 layoffs. The job cuts, which were carried out on Monday, amount to a roughly 48% reduction in overall staff. The layoffs follow Gossamer's recent announcement regarding its Phase 3 clinical trial for seralutinib, a drug for treating arterial hypertension (PAH), which the company described as a rare and fatal condition.
