Dowagiac data center moves forward with expansion plans and agreement to purchase additional land [Yahoo! Finance]

As data center developers push forward on projects across the state, another company is seeking to expand its operations in Southwest Michigan, entering an agreement to purchase 48.5 acres of land. In a Monday press release , Hyperscale Data, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Alliance Cloud Services LLC. would be expanding its Michigan campus “to address the surging demand for AI and high-performance computing.” Through a land purchase agreement expected to close within 60 days, Alliance Cloud Services – which operates a data center in Dowagiac, Mich – would more than double the amount of land it owns in the area, bringing its total holdings within the community to 83 acres. “This land acquisition will give us additional space and the opportunity for future development and demonstrates the Company's long-term commitment to Southwest Michigan and the Company's operations there,” Hyperscale Data CEO Will Horne said in a statement.
