We now think ‘top-down' in addition to ‘bottom-up' and when we have a clear basis for a macroeconomic prediction, we invest directly in macro instruments. Our assessment is that most investors are positioned primarily for a favorable resolution despite the uncertainty and the fact that energy prices remain elevated. We continue to hold our gold position, including a much smaller position in binary call options, after taking significant profits when gold peaked in late January. We initiated a medium-sized new position in Versant Media Group, a recent spin-off from Comcast that owns cable channels like CNBC and USA Network.
