Suzanne van Staveren, who has served as chief financial officer at Edelman Financial Engines since 2022, has left the RIA and joined IMA Financial Group in the same role. Edelman, the registered investment advisor and managed accounts provider with more than $308 billion in assets under management, is currently searching for a new CFO. Van Staveren joined Edelman in April 2022 from Goldman Sachs, where she was CFO of the firm's Personal Financial Management Group, which was acquired by Creative Planning in 2023. She announced the move to IMA Financial Group in a LinkedIn post. IMA is an independent insurance brokerage that also provides retirement solutions and wealth management services through subsidiaries IMA Private Wealth and Syntrinsic. “With extensive financial industry experience, Suzanne will shape our financial strategy and support confident and sustainable long-term growth,” IMA said in a LinkedIn post.
