Ryan, senior vice president of acquisitions, to chief investment officer , according to a company announcement. He took his new role on Feb. 27. He replaces Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer Mark Olear, who has retired . The company has chosen not to backfill the COO position. Ryan joined Getty Realty in 2016 as director of real estate. Before taking over the SVP role, he served as VP of acquisitions and senior director of real estate and development, according to the announcement. He also worked for more than four years as vice president of asset management with Marx realty, a Manhattan-based owner and developer of office and retail properties, and spent eight years with Macerich, an owner, operator and developer of retail and mixed-use developments.
