SHOUGUANG, China, Aug. 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gulf Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: GURE) ("Gulf Resources" or the "Company"), a leading manufacturer of bromine, crude salt and specialty chemical products in China, today announced that its facilities have been impacted by Typhoon Lekima. The typhoon first made landfall in Zhejiang Province, with winds gusting to 116 miles per hour, before heading north to Shandong Province, where the Company’s facilities are located. The death toll by Monday, August 12, 2019 had reached 44. The company believes that all of its mines and factories may have sustained different levels of damage. At this time because some of the electrical power is down, it is not yet possible to estimate the full extent of the damages. However, the Company decided it is prudent to inform investors that damage to the facilities are likely.
