MINNEAPOLIS, May 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GWG Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: GWGH) today announced that it received a letter from the Listing Qualifications Department of the Nasdaq Stock Market on May 17, 2019, informing the Company that it was not in compliance with the filing requirements for continued listing under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1). The Nasdaq notice has no immediate effect on the listing or trading of the Company’s common stock on the Nasdaq Capital Market. As previously reported, on April 16, 2019, the Company received a similar letter from Nasdaq stating the Company was not in compliance with the filing requirements for continued listing under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) as a result of the Company being unable to timely file its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended 2018. The Company’s inability to timely file its Form 10-K was due, in part, to a delay in finalizing the accounting for certain assets and liabilities exchanged pursuant to the Amen
