Hyatt Hotels opened its first Hyatt Studios hotel in Mobile, Alabama, the company announced Tuesday. Launched in 2023, Hyatt Studios is the company's first upper midscale extended stay brand in the Americas. Local officials, Hyatt leaders, hotel owners and customers gathered at the 122-key Hyatt Studios Mobile/Tillmans Corner on Tuesday to celebrate the property's grand opening. The hotel had a soft launch in February, roughly 14 months after the property broke ground in December 2023 Hyatt Studios aims to meet guest demand for longer-term accommodations with modern amenities and “a comfortable, home-like experience,” according to Hyatt. With the first-of-its-kind property, the hotel company fortifies its growing extended stay portfolio.
