Palm Beach Post The children of Leelamma Lal, 67, of Royal Palm Beach faulted the lack of security they say led to the beating and may leave their mother blind. A nurse is suing a Florida hospital and its security company after being severely beaten by a patient. The lawsuit alleges the hospital ignored previous violent incidents and failed to provide adequate security. The nurse, Leelamma Lal, suffered a traumatic brain injury and continues to have double vision and balance issues. The patient who attacked the nurse is facing an attempted murder charge and will pursue an insanity defense.
