HINGHAM, Mass., Jan. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HINGHAM INSTITUTION FOR SAVINGS (NASDAQ: HIFS), Hingham, Massachusetts announced earnings for the fourth quarter and the year ended December 31, 2025. Earnings Net income for the year ended December 31, 2025 was $54,551,000 or $25.01 per share basic and $24.76 per share diluted, as compared to $28,191,000 or $12.95 per share basic and $12.85 per share diluted for the same period last year. The Bank’s return on average equity for the year ended December 31, 2025 was 12.00%, and the return on average assets was 1.22%, as compared to 6.68% and 0.65% for the same period in 2024. Net income per share (diluted) for 2025 increased by 92.7% over 2024.
