In pre-market trade, U.S.-listed shares of silver miners moved higher, tracking gains seen in the European trading session. Hecla Mining and Endeavour Silver were among the top movers, while ProShares' Ultra Silver ETF gained more than 8%. On Tuesday, spot silver — which outperformed gold last year with a 150% annual gain — crossed over the $90-an-ounce mark for the first time.
