Cerity Partners, a New York-based registered investment advisor with more than $140 billion in client assets, has already booked deals for another $4.4 billion in assets this year. Cerity announced Thursday it has acquired Rockville, Md.-based SOL Capital Management. On Monday, the firm announced it acquired Austin Private Wealth , an RIA with $1.4 billion in assets under management. SOL Capital has been operating since 1987 and amassed nearly $3 billion in discretionary assets between individuals and institutions, according to its Form ADV. It was co-founded by President Samuel Sandler, the majority owner, Francis Odinec, a minority owner who is no longer working as an advisor, and James Lynn, who was bought out in 1999, according to company filings and BrokerCheck. CEO and Chairman Rajmiel Odinec, the husband of Francis, joined in 1989 and is a minority owner, according to the Form ADV.
