BAY SHORE, N.Y. (PRWEB) October 23, 2018 Kaelyn McCandless is a 10-year-old girl from Lindenhurst, New York, who enjoys being outside and playing in the water. She has two brothers and four sisters that all agree that she can be an energetic and sassy young lady. Unfortunately, Kaelyn has been diagnosed with brain cancer. She has already had a tumor removed and has received radiation and a year of chemotherapy treatment. However, despite best efforts, her cancer has spread to her brain. Cancer is the uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells that can spread to other areas of the body. There are many different types of cancer with some types being more treatable than others. Among the different types, the most commonly heard cancers include lung, breast, Leukemia and Melanoma. These cancers can affect anyone of any age and it is especially disheartening when someone who is young is diagnosed with cancer.
