Just months before production was supposed to begin, the Japanese automaker pulled the plug on three major battery electric projects. As part of a sharp shift in its electrification strategy, Honda canceled the Series 0 sedan, the Series 0 SUV, and the Acura RSX electric crossover that had been planned for the U.S. market. These vehicles were supposed to mark the beginning of a completely new electric era for Honda. They were being developed on an all-new platform created from a clean sheet, with the goal of establishing the technological foundation for a family of seven EVs the company had once planned to launch before the end of the decade.
