As in most relationships, you'll get a better outcome if you meet the Prelude where it is, rather than where you want it to be, and “sports car” is definitely not where the new Prelude's at. It's a GT — “grand tourer” — Honda says, a European term often applied to luxurious and powerful coupes intended for relaxed, if frequently high-speed, country drives. Disregard any awareness that previous Preludes helped establish Honda as a maker of fun, efficient and sporty little cars, though you might be forgiven for asking why Honda resurrected the name if not to trade on that history.
