Chief Executive Enrique Lores said the restructuring plan is part of a push to adopt AI across the company to accelerate product and software development as well as automate customer support and some internal processes. “We really think this is a unique opportunity we cannot miss to really continue to transform the company and continue to be competitive for the next 10, 20 years,” Lores said. While cutting jobs in some departments as it adopts AI internally, HP also expects to increase investment in some areas to integrate the technology further into its product portfolio, Lores said.
