Summary Low beta stock is due a dip down into an intermediate low with the general market. This should bring the 200-day moving average of around $34.14 into play. That's a 7%+ down-move from the present price. Although Hormel Foods ( HRL ) is still trading with an earnings multiple above 20, the stock firmly remains on our watch list. We are well aware of the competitive advantages of this company despite suffering some growth issues of late. We continue to remain on the sidelines for a possible intermediate correction in stocks. The late sell-off yesterday in the S&P 500 (GSPC) may be a sign of things to come in US equity markets. If we get a correction, we will be ready to unload long positions once a swing has been confirmed. Why do I say this? Well, my reading of equity markets at present is that we have been using the year so far to work off extreme overbought conditions.
