Earlier in February, the company posted EPS of -$0.23 and said it expects capital expenditures for FY24 to be between $70 million and $120 million. The company also appointed president Siva Sivaram as chief executive officer. However, investors were not impressed, and the stock lost nearly 30% since its fourth quarter results. Seeking Alpha analyst and Wall Street are cautious and rated the stock Hold, while Seeking Alpha's Quant ratings consider it a Sell. The stock has lost nearly 20% so far this year. The San Jose, California-based company, which is in the early stage of bringing lithium battery to the market, faces several issues including materials sourcing, scaling, and customer capture, according to Seeking Alpha analyst Michael Del Monte. “The company's solid-state lithium battery has shown promising results in testing but may see significant challenges as the firm brings it into production,” Del Monte added.
