the often struggling but iconic boutique brand to its quiver of moto companies, which now includes KTM, Husqvarna, Gas Gas and motorsport suspension maker WP. The company, also known as Pierer Mobility AG, also owns high-end bicycle maker Felt along with some tech and R&D companies associated with two-wheeled mobility in general. MV Agusta, an icon in the motorcycle sphere, originated in Italy as an airplane maker shortly after the Wright brothers took flight in 1903. But with Italy banned from making aircraft after World War II, the company pivoted to motorcycles, and by the mid-1960s, had established itself as a maker of premium performance motorcycles. Indeed, MV Agusta was producing models like the 600 Turismo and 750S, which featured inline-four engines and disc brakes a full three years ahead of Honda's landmark CB750 model, which debuted in 1969 and is generally considered a landmark model that forever changed the industry.
