ATLANTA, Aug. 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HAVERTYS (NYSE: HVT and HVT.A) announced today that, on August 9, 2019, its board of directors approved an increase in its quarterly dividend. The board raised the dividend on the company’s common stock 11% from $0.18 per share to $0.20 per share. The quarterly dividend for the company’s Class A common stock was also increased from $0.17 per share to $0.19 per share. The dividend is payable on September 11, 2019 to stockholders of record at the close of business on August 26, 2019. Havertys has paid a cash dividend in each year since 1935. The board also approved a new authorization under its stock repurchase program that permits the company to purchase up to $10.0 million of its common stock and Class A common stock once the approximately $7.0 million remaining authorization is utilized.
