MINNEAPOLIS, July 31, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hawkins, Inc. (Nasdaq: HWKN) today announced results for the three months ended June 30, 2019, its first quarter of fiscal 2020. Highlights include: Record first quarter diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.92 per share, an increase of $0.07 per share, or 8%, over the first quarter of fiscal 2019.Operating income of $14.0 million, an increase of 4% over the first quarter of the prior year.Net income of $9.8 million for the first quarter, an increase of $0.7 million over the first quarter of fiscal 2019.Operating cash flow of $10.1 million, an improvement of $3.3 million over the first quarter of fiscal 2019.Total debt of $85 million, unchanged from the end of fiscal 2019, while spending over $8 million to purchase our corporate headquarters and fund share repurchases. “We are reporting a strong first quarter of fiscal 2020, with earnings per share increasing 8% from the first quarter of fiscal 2019,” said Patrick Hawkins, Chief Exec
