The computer giant is offering golf fans new ways to follow past and present pros on its digital platforms, documenting the legendary Augusta tournament for 2026, IBM announced Monday. IBM is again using and expanding on WatsonX, the company's cloud-based commercial generative AI and data platform. The online Masters Vault video archive will be more interactive for users through a WatsonX platform called Orchestrate, designed to automate complex workflows. AI optical character recognition, speech-to-text broadcast commentary, and scene detection are used to analyze footage. Browsers in the vault can use simple, conversational prompts to find full-length video replays of moments in Masters history dating, so far, to 1968. IBM introduced Hole Insights in 2024. It compiles data on every stroke a golfer executed at the Masters since 2015.
