The $4,000 level is becoming ‘life or death’ for Bitcoin traders, says analyst Bitcoin prices were relatively unchanged in midday trade on Tuesday, hovering below $4,000, a level that‘s become a crucial battle line, according to some pundits. In Tuesday action, bitcoin, BTCUSD, +0.19% the best-known cryptocurrency, was changing hands at $3,974.10, up less than 0.1% since Monday at 5 p.m. Eastern time on the Kraken exchange.
