announced that the National Comprehensive Cancer Network/NCCN updated its 2026 Clinical Practice Guidelines to include ANKTIVA (nogapendekin alfa inbakicept-pmln) in combination with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin/BCG. This update adds a recommendation for patients with BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer/NMIBC who have papillary-only disease. Previously, the guidelines recognized the combination only for patients with carcinoma in situ/CIS, but this expansion acknowledges the regimen's long-term effectiveness and safety for a broader patient population. The treatment is a first-in-class IL-15 receptor agonist designed to activate the body's natural killer cells and T cells to target cancer.
