WILMINGTON, Del., April 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC), a wireless, video and AI technology research and development company, today announced it has been awarded a preliminary injunction against Transsion by a court in Brazil. The 3rd Regional Business Court of Rio de Janeiro ruled that InterDigital is entitled to a preliminary injunction resulting from Transsion’s infringement of two InterDigital 5G patents. The court also found InterDigital’s licensing offer to Transsion to be fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND). As a result of the injunction, Transsion is prevented from selling 5G-compliant devices in Brazil.
