Japanese equities regained their positive upwards momentum in the third quarter delivering 11% total returns on the back of resilient domestic economy. The Goldman Sachs International Equity Income Fund (GSIKX) was in line with its benchmark, the Msci Eafe Index, slightly underperforming by -17 basis points. We believe there may be opportunities to broaden equity exposures beyond the largest US names and into international markets. We are fundamental investors and will remain focused on the long-term rather than trying to time the ups and downs of short-term market gyrations.
