Related news Immunomedics ( IMMU ) isn't concerned the coronavirus pandemic could slow its launch of a new breast cancer treatment, an executive said Thursday, as IMMU stock rocketed on the approval. Patients with triple-negative breast cancer, also called TNBC, have few options after undergoing two rounds of chemotherapy, Immunomedics Chief Commercial Officer Brendan Delaney said in an interview. Now, they can use the biotech company 's drug, Trodelvy. Trodelvy gained the Food and Drug Administration's accelerated approval to treat TNBC patients who worsened while receiving two prior cancer treatments. It requires an intravenous infusion in a hospital or clinic. During the c oronavirus pandemic , many patients are delaying treatments and procedures. That's not the case for most patients with TNBC, he said. This hard-to-treat group of patients has cancer that has spread or can't be removed surgically.
