However, dry bulk carrier charter rates have recovered quite meaningfully as of late, which should translate into improved second-half results. While shares lack major catalysts like an active share buyback program or a dividend, an almost 75% discount to estimated net asset value is difficult to ignore. Particularly the stock's underperformance vs. its closest peer, Imperial Petroleum, is eye-catching. Applying Imperial Petroleum's lower NAV discount to Pyxis Tankers would result in a price target of $5. Consequently, I am reiterating my "Buy" rating on PXS' common shares.
