The consensus among experts points to a further 75 basis points of easing over the next three ECB meetings, with the deposit rate falling to as low as 1.5% by September. With Thursday's 25-basis-point cut—the seventh reduction in less than a year—the ECB has brought its deposit facility rate down to 2.25%, the lowest level since January 2023.
