We're than previous generations, and this will have a dramatic impact on the way we approach learning. Many of our social institutions, such as schools, were created during a time when people expected to live only half as long as we do today! One of the most important needs will be to develop an educational system that is flexible enough to prepare workers throughout their extended lives. Here are four ways educators and administrators can build programs that prepare students for a longer, more fulfilling, lifelong learning journey. 1. Recognize the need to evolve more quickly. The rising generation will grow up in a world that changes so rapidly that the traditional educational model simply won't be adequate to prepare a modern workforce with the skills to meet the challenges.
