Here's the latest updates on current TSA wait times at LaGuardia, Newark and JFK airports as House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune say a deal to end the government shutdown has been met. The DHS funding lapse that started Feb. 14 and has hit day 47 today — considered the longest government shutdown in history — has upended airports, jeopardized American safety and has led to TSA agents missing paychecks, leading to over 500 TSA agents quitting and callout rates soaring at JFK, LaGuardia, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Baltimore/Washington, and New Orleans airports. With a DHS shutdown deal on fast-track, the hope is TSA lines return to normal once the government shutdown ends. But travelers still continue to face "the highest wait times in TSA history ," TSA's acting chief said, with long lines stretching outside terminals
