Cancellations of Spirit Airlines' flights eased somewhat on Wednesday, Feb. 18. There were eight cancellations at Palm Beach International Airport with four involving Spirit flights. But Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, where Spirit is the dominant carrier, continued to be significantly impacted. As of noon on Feb. 18, there were 19 cancellations there, with nine involving Spirit. Additionally, 40 flights were delayed, which is more than all other airlines' delays at the airport combined. Flights to Atlantic City, New Orleans and Tampa were all canceled, according to the website FlightAware.com. Spirit Airlines , struggling to find crews and flight attendants to staff its airplanes, canceled more than 250 flights nationwide over Presidents Day weekend, with many of them stranding passengers at South Florida airports.
