Why The Disney-Target Retail Collaboration Is A Win/Win For Both Companies Disney has never really perfected stand-alone retail, without the halo given in its parks. But now, with Target as teacher, it may get its chance. The two companies just announced a retail collaboration Envisioned as a Disney shop-in-shop, the selected Target stores will feature 450 toys, games, apparel, collectibles and accessories, including some 100 products previously exclusive to Disney retail stores. The 750 square-foot Disney shop-in-shops located adjacent to Target’s toy and children’s clothing departments will add special engagement experiences to elevate the spaces beyond retail sales displays. These will include special music, interactive displays, Instagramable photo ops and a seating area to watch Disney film clips. In a statement, Brian Cornell Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, added the collaboration will bring “Disney store magic to Target stores.” Of course, not e
