AUM at the seven euro-denominated CLO ETFs offering exposure to European CLOs is a combined €1.44 billion, up from €1.12 billion in mid-January and €515 million in early September. Looking at dollar-denominated European CLOs, AUM reached $697 million on Feb. 27 — up from $620 million in mid-January, and $350 million in early September. These ETFs mostly offer exposure to US CLOs, but an ETF such as the Janus Henderson Global IG CLO Active Core UCITS has the ability to invest either in European or US CLOs, and all its top holdings are European CLOs (BCCE 2022-1X DR, ACLO 1X DR2, GRANH 2019-1X DR 4.8, PENTA 2024-18X D). Two new European CLO ETFs have been registered — one by M&G (M&G European AAA CLO Active UCITS ETF), and the other by Muzinich (Muzinich High Grade CLO UCITS ETF).
