Johnson & Johnson’s revenues were up 7.3% from 2017 to 2019. This combined with a 9x jump in net income margin from (a depressed) 1.7% in 2017 to 18.4% in 2019, and a reduction in share count due to stock repurchases worth $19 billion, helped earnings per share swell 1092% (from low levels).
