Shares of Joby Aviation ( NYSE:JOBY ) rose about 5%, Archer Aviation ( NYSE:ACHR ) climbed about 3% on early Tuesday trade after the companies were selected for a federal program testing next-generation aircraft. The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration chose eight proposals for the Advanced Air Mobility and Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
