The bank said Honeywell's 2026 EPS profile looks messy on the surface but should be clarified with guidance and matters less as portfolio moves and the separation approach. While reported 2026 enterprise estimates show flat performance, JPMorgan pointed to core growth of about 5% once portfolio noise is stripped out. Orders rose 22% in the third quarter, with book-to-bill above 1 and backlog at record levels across most businesses. Backlog was up 14% year over year and 7% sequentially. JPMorgan expects top-line momentum to pair with margin expansion next year, led by aerospace margins returning toward their 2021 peak after two years of pressure. The bank said 2026 estimates include a meaningful level of stranded costs tied to the breakup, which Honeywell is already moving to cut faster than the 12 to 15 months previously guided. With most dilutive portfolio actions largely behind it, JPMorgan expects Honeywell to present a cleaner story as it heads into the year of the spin
