by the end of June, according to recent filings with the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development. JPMorgan Chase, the nation's largest banking firm, plans to lay off 134 employees in Jersey City around June 20, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications, or WARN, notice . Earlier this year in February, JPMorgan filed notice with the state for 120 workers expected to be laid off around May 3. "We regularly review our business needs and adjust our staffing accordingly - creating new roles where we see the need or reducing positions when appropriate," JPMorgan spokesperson Michael Fusco said in an emailed statement March 30. "This is part of our regular management of the business. We continue to hire in many other areas and work hard to redeploy impacted employees."
