Since then, Mallers has continued to criticize major financial institutions for what he sees as persistent skepticism and hostility toward Bitcoin (BTC). Mallers reignited the debate over Bitcoin's status as money after accusing major banks of pressuring him to tone down his advocacy. Speaking at the Bitcoin Amsterdam conference last month, Mallers recalled how JPMorgan abruptly closed his bank accounts in September without explanation.
